What actually makes a tutoring service.
Four things, and most providers skip at least two of them.
1. Qualified people, checked
Tutors are degree-qualified and hold Working with Children Checks. VIT-registered teachers supervise every tutor's work. Nobody teaches your child anonymously, and nobody teaches unsupervised.
2. Assessment before advice
We never match a tutor before the free online assessment is done. Anything else is guessing with your money. Skip it by choosing your own tutor if you like, matching just takes longer.
3. The same person, every week
Progress comes from a relationship, not a roster. Your child keeps their tutor, and their tutor keeps notes you can read after every session.
4. Honesty about limits
We publish prices, we say no to applications we cannot serve well, and we never promise marks. Seventeen years taught us that honesty is a feature families pay for twice: once with money, once with trust.
5. Automation, so you pay 2009 prices
The portal does the bookings, billing, notes and matching. No office, no admin staff, no paper. That is not cost-cutting on quality, it is cost-cutting on everything except quality, and it is why 2026 families pay session rates from 2009.
