2009 prices. On purpose.
Most tutoring companies hide their rates behind a phone call. We publish ours, and we explain exactly how they stay this low. Leave your name and mobile and the full pricing opens instantly.
Pay by the term. No contracts.
| Term enrolment | |
|---|---|
| Per session one-on-one, online, weekly | $65 / session — casual rate $80 |
| Billing | You purchase the term up front — minimum 10 sessions. That's the whole commitment: one term at a time, never a lock-in contract. |
| If you leave mid-term | Sessions you've used are simply re-priced at the $80 casual rate plus a $100 admin fee — and the rest of what you paid is refunded. No payout of future sessions, ever. |
Every term enrolment includes the free online assessment, tutor matching, the parent and student portals with self-serve booking, session notes after every lesson, lesson ratings, and qualified-teacher supervision of your tutor's work. If your tutor ever cancels, that session costs you nothing.
Strictly south-east Melbourne. Strictly limited. Applications only. We tutor families from Berwick to Pakenham and the suburbs between — local on purpose. Places each term are capped, every application is reviewed, and places are offered, not assumed.
The Founding 75
The first 75 families lock $65 for as long as they stay enrolled. Stay term to term and your rate never moves, whatever the standard rate becomes. Skip a term, and re-enrolment is at the rate of the day. That's the whole deal — founding families are the planning our price is built on, so the lock is earned, not given.
And before any of it: the assessment is free and online, there's a 14-day cooling-off on every term purchase, and if your tutor ever cancels a session it costs you nothing. You risk a conversation, not a term.
How $65 in 2026 is possible
It is the price we charged when we started in 2009, and we engineered our way back to it. Everything that is not tutoring has been removed: no office, no admin staff, no travel, no paper. The portal does the bookings, the billing, the notes and the matching. Tutors do the tutoring. Qualified teachers supervise the tutors instead of billing you teacher rates for delivery. You book each term up front, which lets us plan, and planning is cheaper than churn. Every dollar of that saving is in the price.
The rules that keep it low
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Portal only | Booking, rescheduling and cancelling happen in the portal. If a human has to process something manually, a $25 admin fee applies per transaction. |
| Make-ups | Cancel in the portal with 24+ hours notice and the session becomes a make-up, rebookable in the portal. Manual cancellations or less notice: the session is forfeited, without exception. Repeated no-shows attract a no-show fee. |
| No refunds, no transfers | Sessions are not refundable for change of mind and cannot be transferred to another student. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Early exit from a plan is considered case by case, in writing. |
| Assessment | The online assessment is free and must be completed before matching. Prefer to choose your own tutor and skip it? That is fine, matching just takes longer. An optional teacher-led assessment is $99. |
| Service area | South-east Melbourne families only. It keeps our tutors, times and school knowledge local. |
